Had the same problem.
Solution: Control Panel/User Accounts/Reset security policies.

After awhile Windows 8 keeps logging me out. then I have to click then re-enter my password every time.
How can I disable this?
I only have one user account and will not have any others.

2015-06-10T06:27:38+00:00 Thanks for attempting to resolve my problem, although your answer is very extreme and actually wasn't necessary. I just adjusted the Screen Saver settings to NEVER and now I am not logged out. It was very easy...but I appreciate your assistance.
Solution
Right click on Desktop
click Personalize
click Screen Saver
click Change Power Settings
click Require a password on wakeup
click Change settings that are currently unavailable
click Do not require a password
click Save changes

2015-05-04T02:19:43+00:00 It is logging you out because there is something on your Surface that is appearing to be a security lapse. That could be anything from having an Exchange email account, or being part of a homegroup, or something else. And, once the system detects this, and puts in the security measure of logging you out, there is no access to a setting to undo that.
I had the same problem, but I found a solution. You need to refresh your PC. Go to PC settings -> Update and recovery -> Recovery -> Refresh your PC without affecting your files.
This will reset all of the settings that you cannot see, and when the PC is done, and reboots, it should not log you out anymore.
If that doesn't work, then try the more drastic Remove everything and reinstall Windows option. It's kind of the nuclear option, but it will work if the previous option did not.
