Go to screen saver and click on change power settings, then click on the left hand side change when computer sleeps and change the put computer to sleep settings.
This did it for me. Even though my screen saver was set to "none," I had the "require password on resume" checked at 20 mins.

I go to control panel/user accounts, but there is no "reset security policies".. help! Every 60 seconds that the mouse is still I get signed out and have to retype my password. Sleep settings, etc. are all turned off.
Hello everyone! I am having the same issue..when i log into my ldesktop from my laptop on windows 8, it immediately sighns me out. However I've tried a couple of things that might work for you.
First of all if you have a couple of seconds after you log in, before it sighns you out, immediately click on the user in the top right corner of the screen and click LOCK.
After that you have a couple of minutes to react fast. If you have an Fn key turn it off. After that go to control panel and adjust your brightness to MAX. After your brightness is on max, go again to control panel and click Troubleshooting. In the troubleshooting window there is a search box. Type in "power". Click on power and follow the steps. It should adjust your brightness and me personally stops me from sighning out.
If you dont have an Fn key then dont worry, just follow the other steps.
