My windows 8 is randomly logging off on its own, bug?

Yep, same errors in my log (how I found thread) though they could be generic for this type of issue.

Just yesterday, my pc went into a power save and would not get out no matter what I did. Sooooo...I hit the power button and went to re-boot. It would not re-boot and kept offering to "Repair" and "Recover"...but it never got back on track. I finally did a full new installation of Windows 8 and now I keep getting these frequent logoffs without doing anything. My pc cannot stay on longer than a few minutes before it just logs off on its own again. 

I tried the Screen Saver option that was written about earlier. It did nothing. This is so damn frustrating and there is absolutely nothing posted here about what the problem is from.

Now there is a 50/50 chance that when the pc logs off on its own that it does not re-start!  This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo  frustrating.  I HATE Microsoft!!

I have a client who started reporting this very issue a couple of weeks ago.  I haven't experienced it myself and am only going off of what he has described to me.  It has happened about 6 times over the last couple of weeks. The computer is running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.  I am investigating the problem now, and it appears that the first time it happened it was the day after he installed Google Chrome.  It also looks like Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin was installed the next day (the day that he started reporting the issue).  I have just uninstalled both to see if that resovles it.

A little more background, the user has had the computer for months with no problems, this just started happening.  I checked Windows update and there has not been any updates installed for a couple of months, well before this problem started.

I will post in the next couple of days with status.

It just happened a SECOND time after only a day...this is rare :(. (and again I'm still just using the windows 7 explorer.exe...)

I'm starting to wonder whether it's a GPU thing...it looked kinda like it this time, I was doing a bit of quick window minimising and opening and it seemed to respond to that...

And also, I didn't really have the PC ram usage stacked up like crazy so I dunno what's hapening!

Ok, yes I have a big chrome session with about 200 tabs open, but nothing else much open at the same time and with my crazy computer specs that's not much (only half of what I can get up to on the desktop) and it wouldn't have reached the full ram, that's for sure. Or even 75%.

And, after all, it's always the SCREEN that goes haywire, isn't it!! Maybe it's a video card thing, but I wouldn't have a clue how to pinpoint the problem...

I'm using a 15" retina macbook pro (maximum specs, meaning 16GB ram and some insane quadcore CPU), with windows 8 enterprise x64 on it.

I use the bootcamp default drivers (latest, 5.0), Windows uses the Nvida GeForce GT 650M GPU (not intel built-in graphics).

Like, I guess I could find some way to uninstall the nvidia driver and force windows to use the inbuilt Intel HD Graphics 4000 ni the retina pro, but why do that? I think that'll only make things worse :/.

After spending close to 10 hours on the phone with Microsoft Technical Support, my problem has finally been fixed. The problem is a result of a parameter selected for screen savers, even though I do not and have not used screen savers on this computer.

 

From the control panel, select personalization; from the personalization screen select screen saver on the bottom right.  On the screen saver settings screen,  the selection box for " On, resume, display logon screen" needs to be set to blank. 

 

I hope this is helps.

I checked the setting, it's 100% certain not the cause since it wasn't enabled at all. Furthermore I also see the flashing periodally or I see the Windows acting weird sometimes (colors and stuff). I'm using intel HD4000 graphics. Not sure what zorpo and others are using..
