Want to play chess titans on Windows 8.

ya i feel ya. I am all about windows 10 now!!

It is April 2015 and no evidence of Windows complying with all these requests for Windows 7 Chess Titans

The chess games in the play store are not what I want and being referred there is a non-answer

Further, I spent 1 1/2 hours on a phone call with "customer service".  The person seemed sincere in trying to find it, but of course could not.  She said she would look into it, but it has been two months and I have heard nothing from Windows.

Windows 8 is a disaster.  Windows changed all the good things about Windows 7, including chess Titans, to make it look, in their opinion like something new, trendy and intuitive.  IT IS NONE OF THOSE THINGS.  WINDOWS 8 HAS EVERYTHING HIDDEN AND OBTUSE.  AND YOU WOULD THINK A SIMPLE THING LIKE BRINGING BACK CHESS TITANS IN ITS SIMPLEST FORM WOULD BE SOMETHING WINDOWS WOULD DO FOR THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS.  BUT WINDOWS WANTS TO MONETIZE OUR EVERY KEYSTROKE AND SCREEN TAP.  NO WONDER THEIR STOCK IS FALLING.  THEIR SO CALLED HELP IS NON-EXISTENT AND THEIR SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ONLY READ THEIR ROBOTIC SCRIPTS.

Correct, it will not be automatically built-in by default to any future versions of Windows.  If you want Chess, you have to get it separately by choosing the one you like the best from the World Wide Web and installing it.

So you want to play Chess Titans on Windows 8.

If you take a look in the Windows Store app, there are several Chess games available there.

You can go to your Start screen by either clicking in the bottom left hand corner or pressing the Windows key, and then go to the Windows Store app.

Once in the Store, you can then search for apps by pressing Windows key + C and click Search in the Charms bar, and search for Chess games from there.

Note: The games from Windows 7 are not available by default in Windows 8. Keep checking the Windows Store for available games.
