Not sure if this will help but my specs for a very similar system (Acer 57xx series laptop, Intel HD Graphics, i3 M380 CPU instead of i5 M450, Windows 8.1 Pro instead of Windows 7 HP, 4GB Ram instead of 8GB support and run Movie Maker 2012 fine. The pertinent
information from 'dxdiag' is shown in bold print below.
Also of possible significance:
- Movie Maker 12 also runs on this system when I switch-out the hard drive to Windows 7 Pro with the following Intel Driver
