I'm a little worried about Windows RT's (current) inability to connect to Cisco firewalls via VPN.The only thing I can find on this issue is finger pointing between Cisco and Microsoft. I understand Cisco needs to create an app, but can they with the current restraints? It should be a no brainer for Microsoft to do what they can to make this happen.
This is pretty much a make or break need for us. I really wanted to give Windows RT a chance but if this isn't cleared up, I have no compelling case to deploy Windows tablets.
Does anyone know if Microsoft will work with Cisco on this? Or do you think this is getting squashed for a reason? I don't see why because MS is allowing other VPN connections.

Lets see if there is any announcement regarding wider set of VPN support for Windows on ARM at //BUILD/ 2014 (starting on April 4th).
BTW, there are few VPN providers profiles added to 8.1, which means you can configure your network to work with RT. Technically, some protocols are supported. So its not like"everyone" using RT has this issue. Well then some folks are lucky to have proactive IT team but I guess that's beside the point.

Windows Phone 8.1 is coming with built in VPN support next week/month. So hopefully Windows RT would get the similar/better love.
Hopefully! Sounds really good! But i try not to be too optimistic - Windows RT has also built in VPN support - as we all know. The big question for me will be, if CISCO VPN will be supported out of the box...
