Windows RT and Cisco VPN connections

I'm a little worried about Windows RT's (current) inability to connect to Cisco firewalls via VPN.The only thing I can find on this issue is finger pointing between Cisco and Microsoft. I understand Cisco needs to create an app, but can they with the current restraints? It should be a no brainer for Microsoft to do what they can to make this happen.

This is pretty much a make or break need for us. I really wanted to give Windows RT a chance but if this isn't cleared up, I have no compelling case to deploy Windows tablets.

Does anyone know if Microsoft will work with Cisco on this? Or do you think this is getting squashed for a reason? I don't see why because MS is allowing other VPN connections.

    As an IT Manager I also add my support to this, we are currently looking into full UC with remote capabilities, and if I can recommend the Windows RT line, I absolutely will as it will integrate with our management systems far better than any iOS or Android device, not to mention the BYOD capabilities.  As it stands now, I have to RDC into my home desktop, fire up my VM I use for VPN capabilities, then connect with AnyConnect, and finally RDC into my workstation or myriad amounts of servers I have to deal with on a daily basis.  I would much prefer the capability of connecting directly from my VivoTab RT and RDC'ing from there.  This should have been done long ago in product planning, not something realized after the fact.  RT has so much promise, yet this could kill it if not resolved quickly.

    In addition, I would recommend contacting support.  I did via live chat and requested it be added in a future enhancement.  The tech recommended I just wait for Surface Pro, but I convinced him that no Surface Pro would be an iPad replacement candidate due to the limited battery life (and probably heat).

    This caned response of "get the pro" is absurd. The pro cost $300-$400 more at least, has half the battery life, and is heavier. Seriously?? I specifically bought an RT after the Pro came out for these reasons, though knowing full well about this VPN situation, but still hoping MS will fix it. The only partial solution for me right now would be ssh with Putty (via the jailbreak-another ridiculous situation), but would only good for certain systems. So here's my vote for the VPN fix!

    MS already reliazed rt is not selling well , so their support too. they are not even replying. at least can some one from MS explain why getting vpn is so hard ? ,

    We are not getting any feedback on this via Microsoft.  Anyone have Juniper and Cisco update on this?  My Surface is not being use as much now that the new toy factor is getting away.  My plan of using this as a work tool is crush.
