Windows RT and Cisco VPN connections

I'm a little worried about Windows RT's (current) inability to connect to Cisco firewalls via VPN.The only thing I can find on this issue is finger pointing between Cisco and Microsoft. I understand Cisco needs to create an app, but can they with the current restraints? It should be a no brainer for Microsoft to do what they can to make this happen.

This is pretty much a make or break need for us. I really wanted to give Windows RT a chance but if this isn't cleared up, I have no compelling case to deploy Windows tablets.

Does anyone know if Microsoft will work with Cisco on this? Or do you think this is getting squashed for a reason? I don't see why because MS is allowing other VPN connections.

    Same here.  Need Juno pulse on my Surface.  Without it I can't connect to my office computer.  Obviously my IT team doesn't want to modify security policy to accommodate my Surface.

    I need jJuniper VPN support ASAP.  As I understand it, juniper is ready to create a VPN client, but they are waiting on the APIs from Microsoft.

    Microsoft, please do this asap. RT isn't a complete solution without it.

    Same for me.

    Although I conisered to get a Windows RT device (i.e. Surface) it was not possible because VPN is essential for me to access the Pubmed literature.

    The second reason for a non-windows device was the "low" screen resolution:

    Although the screen quality of Surface and other Windows 8/RT devices is not bad and cleartype is doing a good job, the retina-like displays with PPI of app. 250 and above were that superior when reading Pubmed literature PDFs. Thus I have chosen a different device.

    If MS could provide a tablet (ARM/Atom) device that

    1. supports retina like screen resolution and
    2. Cisco VPN support,

    please let me know and I will buy one.
