how do I turn off the autolock in windows 8?

After inactivity of around 1 minute in windows 8 the computer locks itself... I have to reenter my password. I have tried everything, power options, personalization, and it's still not taking it off. All of the features that relate to turning off the auto lock are off too. Help please!!

Found a fix, under User Accounts, clicking reset security policies seems to have fixed the issue. Also, it fixed the issue of not being able to change the screensaver timeout. I haven't been able to track down the specific policy caused the problem in the first place, but this works for now.

    Hi,

    From the Desktop - Charms Menu - Settings - Personalization - Screen Saver

    or use WinKey + I (from the Desktop)

    Or Right Click Desktop - Personalize - Screen Saver

    change time as needed or 0 for off - uncheck On resume, display logon screen - Apply

    / OK.

    instead of changing it to 0 change it to like 20 that's what worked for me

    If you want it to lock only when u say then turn on the option to require password when unlocking then use the charm bar and goto PC settings then account then set the time out at the bottom for the max

    Found a permanent fix for this problem.

    Go to: PC Settings > PC and devices > Power and Sleep 

    (Press windows+S and type PC settings to go to PC Settings)

    Now change the sleep and screen turn off timings which suits you (I myself use 15 min on battery and Never while plugged in).

    It worked for me, and for sure will work for you all.

    Ok here's my isue, the lock screen saver I FORGOT MY PASS WORD UUUUUG, how do i change it?????? So i can get back in????? It gives a mesage to go to account.live.com to fix this. Did that, didn't work..... grrrrrr
