Extend my C drive space in Windows 8

Have you tried formatting the D drive?  I assume you have already removed anything you wanted to keep from it?

OK friends. I must be asking basics all over again. Here is my thing. I have one Disk only with 2 partitions one (c:) of 50GB and other (d:)with 950GB. wanting to extend my C: I shrunk d: to now have d: at 750GB and unallocated at 150GB ( created from shrinking the D:) . disk management now shows 350MB of system, 50GB of c: , 750GB of D: and 150GB of unallocated. I understand from the conversations above that I can not use my unallocated space into C: because they are not contiguous with D in the middle of them. D; is almost empty with only few MB of few UN-deletable ****. Now, when I want delete the D: to be able to extend my C: I am seeing "Delete Volume" grayed out for some heavenly reason.

Sounds like Drive 0 and Drive 1 are two physically separate drives, not partitions. There is no way to extend a partition across more than one physical drive without some fancy software.

Hi all.  I'm trying to also make my C drive larger.  I often see good answers from Gonzo, but they are short and do not explain very well.  They also assume everyone is at a tech level to understand brevity.  Alas, not.

Currently my C drive occupies the rightmost portion of Drive 0 according to Partition Master and Disk Management Tool.  I have 80GB free on the LEFT side of my Drive 1 according to both programs.

From all previous answers, Ishould be able to extend my C drive since they are contiguous (C at the end of drive 0 and free space at beginning of drive 1...) but it won't give me the option to extend C drive.

I've tried using Partition Master Pro 9.1, Windows Disk Management Tool, and Partition Assistant.
