Hi, can anyone help with this problem please. I hope this is the right forum if not please advise where I should post this query.
If I access my gmail account in a browser I have no problems sending or receiving email, even when hiding my IP address (for example when using unprotected WIFI access points).
However as soon as I try access my gmail account using Windows Live Mail (whether hiding my IP address or not) I regularly get an error "The server has rejected your login. Please verify that your user name and password are correct".
I've investigated this in Live Mail support pages and my gmail setup is as advised as is my WLM setup.
Any ideas appreciated? THIS PROBLEM HAS SOMEHOW CORRECTED ITSELF - NO MORE REPLIES PLEASE. THANK YOU.

I've tried many many times to get Live mail to work and it always refuses my login even when I know it's OK. I've done my settings in Gmail, pop forward and IMAP. I've canceled and recreated my account and Live Mail still refuses to take my user name and password.
I've even tried a different password and still no luck.
Now What? Is there any hope???????????????

There are several reasons why Gmail might not accept your credentials ... The commonest reasons and how to deal with them are given in this Google help article: Troubleshoot sign-in problems
Start with the fourth as the most likely: *Your app might not support the latest security standards. Try changing a few settings toallow less secure apps access to your account.*One or more of the others might also apply, so if you're still having trouble connecting after allowing 'less secure apps' to access your account, check the other possible causes as well. There is no danger involved in enabling this option.

To address your issue, kindly contact your email provider as the problems roots from gmail and not with Windows Live Mail.
