I have a problem to install the .Net Framework 4 ... this problem is:

HRESULT 0xc8000222

anyome can help me please?

Hello,

  1. Does the issue persist only with .netframework?
  2. How are you  installing it? Is it through windows update or manually?

a: Click Start > Run.

b: Type cmd and press Enter.

Please run the following command in the opened window.

net stop WuAuServ

c: Click Start > Run Type %windir% and press Enter.

d: In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.

e: Click Start> Run type cmd and press Enter.

Please run the following command in the opened window.

net start WuAuServ

    Hey Jessen P,

    I really hope you can help me because I have been fighting this for probably 1 year.  .Net Framework 4 is installed on my machine as is .Net Framework 4 Extended but .Net does not work and no program will work that requires the .Net software.  As I said, this has been a problem for a year or more.  I have been through every "fix" I could find online and NOTHING has worked including this one.  At first I read that the problem I was getting was because of multiple installs of .Net but I never had multiple installs.  The little bit of success I have had was when I rolled .Net back to an older version all would work.  As soon as Windows 7 updated my .Net program, it stopped working and of course it would update as soon as I rebooted.  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on an i7 machine.

    When I followed the procedure you outline here, everything works fine.  Then I tried to "repair" the .Net software in Add/Remove Programs and it failed due to "Fatal error during installation".  I really need this software to work as more and more programs are using .Net.  What more information do you need or what do you recommend I do?

    Hi Buddhika,

    Method 1: End the process from task manager and check if that helps, steps to follow

    i. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete buttons together and select Task manager

    ii. End all the process running in the background

    iii. And then try to sign in

    Method 2: Delete all the files under temp folder, steps to follow

    i. Click on start

    ii. Type in ‘%temp%’ in the search box

    iii. Delete all the files in this folder

    Method 3: Remove the Temporary internet files and folders, follow the steps listed in the below link:
