Error in backup 0x807800C5

yeah, I gave up on MS and just got a 3rd party software worked like a charm. 

Indeed for once in the 21st century I'd like to see some ownership!

Thanks, creating a VHD is a great way to successfully put a WindowsBackUp image on my Synology NAS (D111).

My problem isn't with the creation of an image, it's with the (more critical) RECOVERY of the image. I can recover the image if Windows is still operational...but...if the disc fails completely, all that is available is the use of a "Windows Recovery Disc." That disk boots into the "Windows Recovery Environment," which doesn't seem to recognize a VHD and renders the image unavailable/useless.

Am I missing something?

ich habe genau das gleiche Problem und Microsoft meinte man solle seinen Netzwerkspeicher erneut hinzufügen aber auch dies bringt leider keine vernüftige Lösung mit sich!?

Gibt es neue Ideen oder Lösungen aktuell?

I have exactly the same problem and Microsoft said I should add my network storage again but unfortunately this is not the solution!

I use Windows 8 Pro and fixed the issue using the steps above....

Second try, same result.

57% were saved system image of "(C :)" is created. -> System image was closed and ... error 0x807800c5.

When I perform a backup without the system image, there is no error!
