Additional Details

I installed Windows Live Mail on 6 December 2011 and added a Google Mail account to it.  It was working fine until about a week ago when every time I went to check my mail it would give me the following message:

1 of 2 tasks have completed successfully

I clicked on the Error tab in that window and there was nothing listed there.  I closed out of the windows and clicked on the button to check my mail again and no error message.  The next time I want to check my mail I get that error message and I close out of that window and check it again and it works with no issue.  It has been like this for about a week and it becoming annoying.

What is the issue and how do I fix it or are Google Mail accounts not compatible with this application.  I used the IMAP settings.

    Hi SouthernDixieCowgirl,

    Most likely your issue is caused by a corrupted software. Please repair Windows Live Mail. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to Control Panel
    2. Go to Programs ****3. Click on Programs and Features ****4. Click on Windows Live Essentials on the list
    3. Click on Uninstall/Change on top
    4. Click on Repair all Windows Live programs

    Hi SouthernDixieCowgirl,

    This issue may be solved if you perform a clean install of the program. 

    Before you do this, it would be best to back up your messages. Then, uninstall Live Mail from your computer by following the instructions in this solution article.

    Get the latest version of the client from this site. Let us know if the issue still persists.
