No need to report to Microsoft (they can't do anything about it). Report it to the Police instead.
if microsoft cant or wont do anything then why do they issue requests to stop to some of them?namely 3 that i reported last yr and this yr,and why does microsoft want anyone to report it to them as i have done repeatedly thru microsoft website?
i reported 1 today that i found embedded into a site that claims to be microsoft tech support site and even has numbers to call,i went thru the trouble of contacting the domain, domain registrar, microsoft, even got the info to submit to microsoft for the domain, domain
owners, domain registrars, associated domains and the scam code thats embedded into the website.i dont give them access to my pc or credit card info ever.i gather all this info because i was asked if i can get more info on them to help catch them.the police
wont do anything unless microsoft asks them to so where is the effort to stop this problem?
the scam i have been chasing is 1 thats been going on for yrs and microsoft has already issued an order for them to stop.i emailed the site owners, domain owners and even google because they use a gmail account for contacting them.i have all the information
including screenshots.
3 hrs later this eve, they called me at home at 830pm central time,it was an american male voice and he tried to tell me that he is an outside company that represents microsoft tech support,i told him i was submitting the info to microsoft again and that
i had contacted the domain owners and have copied the code for the scam,he couldnt hangup fast enough!! these scammers already know who i am and that i have been trying to get their specific info for the last yr and a half to turn in as requested by microsoft
personel(real microsoft).
i knew it was a scam simply because it was a full page popup that said my windows system was infected and had been locked AND I WASNT EVEN USING WINDOWS-i was running linux on my tri boot machine at the time.but i have encountered them many times in my windows10
insider installation,if the phone numbers they provide dont match any of the phone numbers i have for microsoft in my phone book i know its fake.but sometimes i do play along just to gather more info on them so my reporting will be more accurate and complete.i
never give access to my pc or credit card info, but i will tell them who i am or even give a email addy so i can get their ip addresses if they email me which usually dont happen after they find out my name.
