HELP!

I want to report a phonecall/scam I received - this one last night - supposedly from Microsoft.  I want these crooks nailed to the wall.  I can't figure out how to contact a human in the Microsoft empire to give the specifics I gleaned from my caller.  Hopefully, a Microsoft personage will email me back as this is not my 1st scam by phone (my CELL PHONE!) or by EMAIL from India trying to get me to follow her 7 steps to clearing my laptop of a bunch of "vicious viruses".  I got her name, phone number, web address, etc.

Please, Microsoft person, contact me so I can turn  my notes over to you to follow up protecting your name & our safety as best as possible and "contend removed: please don't cures  thank you"

THANK YOU!!

As so many respond to this and I have reported this 8 times and if anything the calls have increased. Are you doing anything?  11:19 am 1/18/2018 phone call: ID = jackline dsouza from phone # 1-196-526-1454; Said she was from microsoft and a red light had flashed at their business telling them that my microsoft was under attach and to stop it from spreading if I didn't call immediately and let them correct the problem from going to others in the next fw minutes microsoft would sever all connections to my computer for-ever. Was not at a place where I could write the number I recieved down - started with 965 - SORRY?? With all you fancy computers isn't there a way to stop this?

Report the scam attempt.  Makes no difference what they said.  You repeat what was said like it really makes a difference. You could have laughed.

Can't do what is needed unless it goes to https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/2017/05/18/fight-tech-support-scams/

I too had a person call last night. I reluctantly gave him remote access. I took notes, but need Microsoft to return my reply

    Thanks, Concerned user!

The Microsoft Technician "CROOKS" found their way into my computer. I was working REAL MS technicians from Phillipines..All of Techs seem to be in India/Phillipines, etc. They were "driving my computer" to help me try to find WHAT MICROSOFT 10 HAS REMOVED FROM ALL COMPUTERS AFTER JAN 21/18 UPDATE.  I am furious about the loss of the Display option. Users can no longer change the size and boldness of fonts after this update. I HATE Windows 10, & am most angry @ Microsoft for having the arrogance to not allow we, their customers, from a simple, basic option.  But I DIGRESS.  The real MS techs, put me on hold for a bit...during that time, the scam artists entered my computer..and somehow we got connected. They inject tons of errors into your computer and then want to help you fix them. I just kept saying I will PAY NOTHING for your service.  NEVER PAY FOR MICROSOFT TECHNICAL SERVICE.  Now I get about 3 calls a WEEK.. from the fake Microsoft Techs. I just hang up on them, but in WI, the DO NOT CALL system has failed.  It does not work.  I need to get in touch w/them.  But it is very hard to get help from Microsoft.  You have to be very pushy...and I mean pushy to get  help.  I spent over 4 hours w/Dell Techs...to try to help me find the MISSING DISPLAY.. and then about 15 hours w/Level 2 Microsoft Techs.

What was so frustrating to me: the people MS has hired to help THEIR CUSTOMERS.. .did not know of this removal of a basic option we have had for years!  I think that is the worst thing ever.. to make a change...without telling their own Techs.  They worked so hard to help me. ANSWER:  There is no help from MSoft. None at all except to increase your resolution.  Which is not an answer at all.   A Microsoft community member (join this group if you can) told me about some private programs that allow you to work w/your fonts.  I need to find a better program however.

MICROSOFT HAS GONE CRAZY W/POWER.  There is some suggestion that MS wants to get rid of our settings totally so users won't have any options.  If this continues..I can see MS losing many customers to APPLE.  User Beware!
