ntldr missing error message Windows xp home

I have redone the disc and it now runs, I get to the point it starts to run the cd, starts to load windows but then I now get the blue screen of death, any ideas on this one?

You cannot copy an .iso file to a CD. You need to create the CD from the .iso. (There is a big difference!)

Did you use IMGBurn and follow the instructions?

Even if you did follow the instructions, it's possible you burned a coaster. You can try again. Also, use it in a PC you know is working to make sure it's bootable.

I downloaded the ISO and the put it onto cd but it does not work, I have chnaged the BIOS settings to boot from cd but I am still not having any luck with that ISO.

The only parts left from the Packard Bell that I got 6 years ago is the Case and the power supply, I have upgraded every other part of the computer.

Hmmm, I thought there was an option to boot into Recovery Console on the Hiren's CD. Since there isn't, follow these other instructions from JoseIbarra (same as the ones linked to by Tech-Geek) to create your own bootable Windows XP Recovery Console CD:

If you have no bootable XP media (or are not sure what you have) create a bootable XP Recovery Console CD and be sure what you have (no XP media required).

This is not the same as any recovery disks that might have come with a store bought system.  

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burning it to a CD.

The bootable ISO image file you need to download is called:

xp_rec_con.iso

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer that is working.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD ROM drive as the first boot device instead of the hard disk.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will have to reboot the system again.

When you boot on the CD, follow the prompts:

Press any key to boot from CD...

The Windows Setup... will proceed.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation you want to access (usually  1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the Administrator password (usually empty).

You should be in the C:\WINDOWS folder.  This is the same as the 

C:\WINDOWS folder you see in explorer.

The Recovery Console allows basic file commands like: copy, rename, replace, delete, cd, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, etc.

Also, what is the model and model number of your Packard Bell PC? Are you booting off the CD instead of the hard drive?

thank you for that great information, I am geting stuck on the part about the recovery console on the cd options, I have not been able to find this, please could you let me know where this is in the options on the cd.
