Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

-          a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

-          Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

    when will the update will be available in malta? I have an N8 and today i received the widgets update. Is it going to be sent seperatly?

    N8 Dark Gray 059C8T6 USA Variant. Just installed the "home screen widgets" as well. I must say I'm kind of disappointed. Didn't really get anything with this "update", just a few toggles, updated calendar and music player. Stuff I don't really use anyways. I was actually hoping to get that text clock, notes widget, and gallery. Not sure if any of you guys got it or not.

    Maybe they're waiting to release a more stable version? From reading the forums a lot of people are having trouble with compatibility and battery life so on and so forth. It almost seems like the "refresh" creates more problems than solving them. So who knows...

    Hello,

    I own a  Nokia N8 (059C8T6) and just recieved a "homescreen widget" update. Not only have I not recieved belle refresh update, the widget update took 16 MB and my C disk space is now down to 44 MB from 60 MB. I understand that the updates may consume some memory, but I certainly did not expect the widgets to consume so much memory..

    I would much appreciate it if you can let me know how I can get my memory back to better levels. I would also like to know if we will get a Belle Refresh update.

    I know what you mean. I'm down to 51 mb for the system drive. I'm not a programmer but I'm pretty sure they shot themselves in the foot when they only partitioned 250 megs for the "phone drive".

    I like yourself am still waiting for an ACTUAL Refresh update. I've heard that people have gotten extra space back on their C drive after installing it. I'm planning on doing a clean install and wiping the whole phone so it gets back to factory settings. So c'mon Nokia, let's get that update rolling out.

    You guys have it pretty good, actually. After I was done installing the homescreen widgets, I only had about 6 mb free in the C drive. Had to dig around deleting applications, moving files around, etc. But I'm still only at 37 mb free..
