Hi all,
great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).
This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:
- a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.
- Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging
The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.
pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.
Best regards,
Yvonne from Nokia Care

2012-09-07T00:15:48+00:00 @lexrazor, then in the Nokia website should be list out which product code is supported for this update. The information that I get for this update is it will roll out for all the unlock phone. Base on my product code, this mean I also should be entire to get the update because my phone is not lock to any service provided. This is why Nokia getting down from the hill. Lousy information, lousy support lousy firmware...
P/S: If you are only release firmware update to not all the N8-00 in Malaysia, then you should list out which product code currently is supported or not supported for this update. On the website, it given the wrong information showing N8-00 getting the lastest frimware. My phone is N8-00 and not lock to any service provider, then I should get update. Where is my update? Wrong is still wrong, just correct it, why still explain with the weak reason. Thumb down for Nokia.

2012-09-07T10:57:10+00:00 @mcchin The update roll out doesnt depend on which product code you have. As far as i know no two product codes are the same and if im wrong then im sorry for the misinformation. But my point is that they cant put up a list of which product codes the update is available to. It depends on your current FW version, country and operator. Also your operator may have not approved this update yet and that may not matter if your phone is locked or unlocked. As i've said before. Fact in the matter is that you may not even need the update. No matter how much you post on here and ask and rant no one can tell you exactly when the update will be available to you. All you can do is be patient and wait like everyone else. Check your phone and Nokia Suite for the update daily and it will come up eventually. If you havent update your Nokia Suite to the latest version too.

Just to clarify, the product code is indeed important for the update. It basically identifies the phones model, what country/region the phone belongs to and whether it is locked to a network or not.
For instance, my product code (059D1M2) tells us that it is an N8 locked to Virgin Mobile in the UK and the same product code applies to all N8's supplied by Virgin Mobile UK.
Skyee has in the past published spreadsheets detailing product codes and firmware update availability during update time.
Hope this helps.
Ray.
