Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

-          a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

-          Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

    I'm afraid I only know what's been released, not why something hasn't been released yet.

    But the possible reasons are it's a product code that Nokia have forgotten about, it's a product code under development by Nokia, and in the case of operator variants, it's a product code under test by the network operator or the network operator isn't interested in releasing it.

    If your product code was an operator variant you could ask your operator and they could tell you if they're not bothered about releasing it, they're waiting for a version from Nokia to test, or it's under test. However as your product code is a country variant the only thing you can do is just wait as Nokia aren't saying anything this time about the Belle Refresh/Belle FP2 release dates whereas before with Belle there was a very good webpage you could check.

    it has been 2 months since the release of this update and still nothing for my n8 (turkey).

    and in the same time, nokia is crying because they're losing customers and they're making losses...

    For everyone who has not gotten this Refresh yet (including me with my 059C8T6), it is important to remember that this update is courtesy of Accenture, and they are probably not up to speed on how to do it yet.  Not making excuses for Nokia (since the sold their rights to Symbian to Accenture), but just trying to put this LONG process into perspective.  As I stated in an earlier post, I don't see anything I am interested in with the Refresh except for the browser update, so I have no heartburn over the delay.

    It's the same people, they were transferred over to Accenture. As usual with outsourcing, the speed depends on how many people Accenture moved over to other projects and how many resources Nokia is willing to get Accenture to dedicate to the roll out (or to put it another way, money).

    Hi... I can't find updates for my C7.

    The current version is 111.030.0609 and still my Nokia suite ( ver 3.5.34 ) shows no new updates.

    I'm from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

    How can I update to 111.140.1511 ?
