Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

-          a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

-          Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

    @Dan555.  According to All About Symbian, ColorizeIT only installs if the refresh is done through Nokia Suite.   http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/15570_Belle_Refresh_starts_to_roll_o.php.  You won't get it OTA.

    when is it going to release for three uk c7 059D188 product code? Will social runs after this update? Social has not been working since feb when nokia belle released in my mobile. Hope to get soon

    Oops, that's a bit embarassing, I didn't see that buried in there. I must have gotten used to not seeing UK stuff on the N8's list.

    I've got all the updates apart from ColorizeIT and Belle Refresh. I might not have been offered ColorizeIT because my C: drive is practically full and I can't find anything else I can delete, one of the reasons why I want Belle Refresh because it supposedly fixes the C drive filling up.

    Sounds like the ebay seller sold you a phone they received under contract from Orange. Normally it would be locked for Orange use only although I suppose they could have got it unlocked for a small price before they sold it. Obviously this is difficult to know for sure as you have inserted an Orange SIM card, which will definitely work. The only way to be 100% is to try a SIM from another network and see if it works. If it does then your phone is unlocked and will remain like this indefinitely, regardless of what SIM you place in the phone or if you update the firmware with a new Orange version, when it is released.

    My Nokia C7-00 was product code 059D496 and as per your list is now on Belle. This was a UK variant phone (purchased directly from Nokia UK) and as confirmed by them when I was waiting for Anna to arrive, this was not classed as a vanilla phone and instead was a UK variant. I can confirm that I have definitely received and installed all the recent updates including Belle Refresh, Homescreen Widgets, Calendar, Social & MS Apps.

    North American Variants still haven't shown up either. I'm expecting something this week, though, probably not the full update. They released the homescreen widgets four weeks ago and the music player and calendar updates two weeks ago. Here's to hoping we get something this week :D I hope it's the web browser update.
