Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

- a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

- Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

This time do we have a schedule for each product code? When the Belle refresh update will be available for Product Code 059D1F9 in Malaysia?

After updating to belle refresh on my n8 my opera mini or next isn't working properly. It doesn't show the font properly. I show some box....EVEN English language didn't show properly. English font show some box. In opera mini none of any language are showing....every font looks like a box..plz help me.

Hi there,

I've installed 'Belle Refresh' on my unlocked C6-01 (product code 059C275) through Nokia Suite. No problems at all, the update run smoothly and all my settings, apps, documents were saved and restored. Before the update, I had 158 MB free space on C: drive and now I have 298 MB.

After the update, Nokia Suite prompted me to install 'Search Widget'. I did installed, but at a first glance, it's the same Belle search widget.

System fonts were redesigned and they are now more readable on the C6-01 small screen.

There's a new calendar widget that can shows multiples events, since it has vertical scroll like the mail widget.

Also, there's a nice are notes widget and some new clock widgets.

A very, very good news: Google Maps 4.1.1 is now working as fine as it was before Belle !!! This is sooo good, because Google Maps is great to do business searches.

Haven't tested yet all the stuff, but at least the browser doesn't seam so weird as it was before.

I'll be back here when I have more feedback.

I have just one question. Will google maps work with belle refresh? Because since updating my phone to nokia belle it only crashes.

I can't add widgets and shortcuts to my homescreen after updating, does anyone know how to solve this issue???
