Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

- a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

- Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

That would be a no. The C5-03 is an S60 v5 handset and cannot be updated to Belle because of hardware limitations.

I updated my E7-00 (Finland) yesterday through Device manager OTA. Nokia Suite and SW update didn't offer the update at all. Nevertheless, everything went fine. New widgets appeared, no old app was removed etc.

The thing that puzzles me is, that 4 icons appeared on the bottom task bar for a few seconds after the first restart of the phone. The two middle ones looked like a speaker (profile change?) and a traditional keypad with the 1-9+0 button layout. At least they looked like this with the theme I'm using. They have not appeared since and now there are just the usual 3 Belle buttons (menu, dialing, properties).

What were these briefly appearing buttons? I've installed Belle Extra Buttons app, but disabled it during the update.

I got the Big Screen and DLNA, just Colorize is not there but then should I loose the capability to edit pictures?

Neither can I use them directly to link to a contact or on desktop.

Any place u can suggest I can look Colorize or default pic editor for N8?

I own Nokia C6-01.Before installing belle refresh last week my opera mini v 7 works fine.But after installing the belle refresh update, i cannot see the english character in opera mini,instead i see rectangular boxes in place of english character,but the other language like bangla showed okay in opera mini,i uninstall & then reinstall opera mini but problem remains same.If anybody can help me i will be gr8full.....

STILL WAITING for the Refresh update to be available for my unbranded N8-00 (product code 059C8T6). You'd think since I purchased it directly from Nokia, they'd offer me some support. NOPE! Total silence.
