Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

-          a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

-          Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

Best regards,

Yvonne from Nokia Care

After updating my C6-01, it freezed 3 to 4 times so far while using it and restarts automatically. My phone is not as responsive as it was. What could be the reason?

@spacemen211 Did you check your battery? Usually updates like that take a lot of time and drain battery life. If you had less battery its possible the phone just didnt have the power to start the update. The best way to update a phone with that kind of OS upgrade is always via Nokia Suite. You never have to worry bout battery or space on your phone. The update probably doesnt show on Nokia Suite because  you already tried to update it via OTA.

@singhamit Nokia 603 has the Belle Feature Pack update. As far as i know it wont get Belle Refresh.

@ripsa The only difference in Belle Refresh is in N8 which gets 3 additional apps called Big Screen, DLNA play and Colorize IT (which wasnt rolled out with the update for some reason). The additional buttons you see are form an app called Belle Extra Buttons. It doesnt come from the Belle Refresh update. You can find the app here http://store.ovi.com/content/258316

@lawrence0921 A good way to have your phone memory untouched is to change the installation directory to be always on your memory card. As for the remaining apps - if you're sure you've uninstalled them just delete the folders that are showing in your Files. Though i doubt they take up a lot of memory. Usually those folders are no more then a few KB.

Hi! I'm trying to clear up my Nokia C7's phone memory space to improve the performance of my phone. I checked your website. And it told me to delete unnecessary files like obsolete image files ang .SIS files. I also uninstalled all apps that were installed in the phone memory via the Installed Apps section in the Settings menu.

Also, when I updated to Nokia Belle a few months ago, some of the ap

ps went missing. I thought the incompatible apps were deleted during the update. But when I checked the Installed Apps section, it's still saying that the missing apps were still installed. So I uninstalled them.

But I remember having apps that I was sure I had installed before the update, but didn't show up in the Installed Apps section, but if you check the Files app, the folders and some system files remained.

I need help. Awesome Nokia Belle Refresh update, by the way. Thanks!

I 've refreshed my C6-01 with OTA. All seems to be perfect.

Like others in this thread, my mobile sucks the battery empty.

I have the Battery Monitor App installed. Its something (tasks) in the background.

On my mobile all additional connectivity (3G, WLAN, Bluetooth,...) is off.

I use the phone like the time before the refresh.

Now the battery hold one day, before >4 days.

Should i make a update with nokia suite?

Could i go back to the last Belle-version? (How can I do this?)

    Please help!
