Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

-          a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

-          Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

    Dan555, it is growing every day..:), What is really this refresh gives to us? I do not understand why people so unpatient in waiting for this update when some very usefull application are not supported with the last Belle Refresh - it is documented in betalabs. Plus it removes some useful futures - this upgrade is close to FP2 for 808 except of key board and probably agallery widget, etc. i am watching http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Software-Updates/Belle-FP2-re-released-Any-issue-s-please-post-here/td-p/1575106/highlight/false/page/11

    I wanted to update my phone via Suite, but just before the end it stopped downloading software (service unavailable) I tried to download it again but it doesnt solve the problem. What could be the reason?

    Personally, I would refuse 111.40.1511. We got better calendar, music player (without search, thanks to Nokia, at least sorted items ..), some new widgets.I think, it is enough.

    This new refresh will delete QT components and therefore, all app-s that used QT will fall - namely, City Lens and Swype!

    Nokia, I use Swype because it is one way to use more languages than it is listed in our 059C8T6!!!!!!

    And I use City Lens!!!!! Nokia Panorama at all!

    Looks like this upgrade removes very needed futures - aka "upgrade down" - I can consider it as very aggressive action to push us to Lumias!

    We paid $$$ for Symbian devices, promised to be supported up to 2016!
