Gaye, I don't know & I doubt if we will get told when WLM 2013 hits the Net.

As I send a lot of & receive e-mails with photos in the text with suitable descriptive words , I found that while Outlook 2007 ( & possibly 2010) did not destroy any such  e-mails received when sending on, it was the inserting images into text in Outlook that was not as easy as doing it in Thunderbird, that has convinced me that Thunderbird is perfect for me in sending e-mails with imbedded text.

If a User justs wants to send attachments, then WLM is probably fine.

Ron, I hadn't seen this one.  I am FINALLY with you and so glad to see this post because tomorrow I am installing Thunderbird!  Thanks for the info!  Blessings

I have the exact same problem with forwarding email with embedded pictures. Has there been a solution for the problem as of this date. Today April 30, 2013 ????

Hi, I just noticed your post.  I hope you get farther than I did.  I have had this problem for over two years.  I have never been against Microsoft and used to defend them when others bashed them.  However, things have changed.   No other company has these problems so after hoping with Windows Live Mail 2012 that it would be fixed, I am finally going to Thunderbird.  A friend of mine at my ISP has been trying to get me to download it and use it and I finally checked into it and like what I see.  It is a lot like the old OE but looks modern like WLM 2012 but no problems with skydrive and sending pictures embedded in email.  I have put this off as long as I could thinking it would be fixed but it won't.  Hope you have better luck than I did!  I have even decided our next computers will be Mac's in this house...I believe that Microsoft's time has gone away especially with Windows 8

Tom, I think the problem will be solved with WLM 2113 !

Though I still use WLM for the good calendar, better printed output than the one with Thunderbird or even Gmail.

On edit, I just realised I am NOT using WLM for the calendar  but Outlook 2007

    Ron

I hope this is good news...I gave up on it and had determined to go to something else...but was afraid to try outlook.com  and I really do like WLM.........SO.....when will  WLM2013 be out??????????

    Thanks,

    Gaye
