Hi there – It has been a while since we have exchanged our thoughts. Today I stumbled across the following which may interest you. For me it only raises more questions. What are the differences between an e-mail client, an e-mail service, and an e-mail application? Perhaps if we understood this we could make more sense in what is happening. Note the first short paragraph, perhaps this is why we are unable to do what we want. No moderator has come close to explaining this – I wonder why.

    > > Windows Live Mail is the brand new PC e-mail client from Microsoft, designed entirely with the Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail e-mail service in mind. Window Live Mail can be seen as a replacement for the previous free e-mail application that used to come with Windows, Outlook Express.

    > > Windows Live Mail makes using the new Live Hotmail system a much easier experience, although Microsoft has gone to great lengths to design a web interface that closely mimics what users would expect from a desktop e-mail client there are still a large number of users who prefer the reponsiveness that a desktop application gives. One problem does exist though, it appears as though Microsoft have once again shunned the accepted protocols for mail management and instead gone down the >custom route again, as they did with WebDAV and the original Hotmail. The advantage of this being that with the close integration of the 2 products (Windows Live Mail / Windows Live Hotmail) you mail should always by synchronised. The downside of this being that if you don't like Windows Live Mail, or use a Mac or Linux machine then you're going to be stuck with the Windows Live Hotmail web interface.

I am trying to find an answer to this same  question and you are only understanding some of the words.  Embedded pictures/graphs/drawings/etc  will not be forwarded  either.  Error msg says it will be sent without pictures. Photos get hung up in outbox until deleted from system.

    @ MarshaHauk -

I would not hold your breath if I were you. Give it a week or so and let us know if you still believe "they fixed this finally!"

ps: Forward as an attachment has always been there, is not the answer, and does not solve the forwarding problem we are seeking a fix for. Sorry - but nice try.

pps: I just did an update and I see no evidence of any update to Windows Live Mail. Perhaps other components of Windows Live have been updated? I only have WLM.

An update automatically appeared for WindowsLive this morning in the usual update announcement place.  Perhaps you can find it on the Live site?
