I had over 1700 games won on Freecell and Spider solitaire, and now someone has decided to punish me by taking away my scores. I suppose this is a way to punish me for not paying for an upgrade. Free is supposed to mean FREE, not just drag a person into something and then try to coerce them to do something that costs money. I am retired and have to watch expenses all the time.
“Microsoft Solitaire Collection” game crashes with the error.
Original Title: Microsoft Solitaire Collection - Buggy, Crashes, and Resets Stats and Challenges
I'm having a terrible time with the Solitaire Collection for Windows 8. It frequently crashes, and now, for the second time THIS MONTH, it has reset my "Daily Challenges" to zero and wiped out all my achievements and coins. Oddly, when I go back to try to do them over, it says I've already done the challenge once, so I can't even re-earn the coins I lost!
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it hasn't helped... nothing changed.
Often, if I click on a game or challenge, the app will just shut down and take me to my Windows Start screen.
I'm very disappointed with this buggy card game collection. I wish I could just have my Windows 7 card games back. :(

Had the same problem but finally fixed it by resetting windows 10 GO TO THE FOLLOWING
Settings -- Update and Security --- Recovery ---- Reset PC Get Started ---- Choose an Option --- 2 prompts comes up asking to keep files or delete files.
I kept my files and when it finished it was all there. This really works and now I have my Microsoft Solitaire Collection back.
It takes about an hour but it is DEFINITELY worth the time.
I tried everything but this WORKS.

2015-12-11T21:23:45+00:00 Yes..it's definitely THEIR game problem. Mine hangs on all computers after a while and all of the CPU space is used up.
Microsoft hasn't said a word but I DID get their request to vote on new game software they want to develop. Perhaps they should fix THIS one before moving on!

2015-12-08T13:32:18+00:00 I am not very tech savy. I have been unable to play the Microsoft solitaire games. When I tried to play yesterday this blurb came up stating that they were updating the game, however, there are apparently 9 changes and it is stuck on number 1 and will not move. Please advise.
