Java is not working on my computer. It is new computer with windows 8 and internet explorer 10. I downloaded Java and using explorer from desktop.
But every time I go on line and website requires Java I get same error message "ClassNotFoundExeption". Same error I get if I go to Java website and hit Test Java button. I tried different things that were suggested on Java.com and Microsoft.com but nothing worked. I have newest Java and did not have any problems downloading it. I appreciate any suggestions.

Was the original issue ever resolved? I still can't get Java to work and I've tried all of the above except setting up a new user account which didn't make sense. Using Windows 8 - 64 bit, Java 32 bit and I've installed and uninstalled multiple times on the desktop. The site I'm accessing works fine on my Windows 7 laptop and I have all the same settings in Java on both laptops.
When browsing in the Win8 App IE you can click on the Tool icon in the bottom right corner and select View on Desktop.

Java program as such is plugin and plugins are not allowed in IE10 modern by design. Run java from desktop and it will work fine. Hope thjis helps

NO it dose not work. I hope there is someone with any other answers that are already on line. Like I sad on beginning I have tried everything that is on Microsoft website, Java website and all other websites. And no luck. Java is installed correctly but it dose not work. I think windows 8 still has a lot of flaws. If I new about this before I booth laptop with windows 8 I would not do it. Microsoft needs to work on a lot of things to correct windows 8 is much slower then windows 7 dose not turn some things on when u want them and you have to jump thru hoops to make it work. So anyone that works for Microsoft GET BUISY AND GET THOSE THINGS FIXED OR MY NEXT COMPUTER WILL BE APPLE FOR SURE.
In IE10 Desktop make sure all Filtering is turned off for that site. Also if you trust the website you go to Internet Options, security tab, trusted sites and add site to trusted site. Hope this helps
