I have the ZX4951. Here is what i did to get full functionality back, just like it was in the release preview of Windows 8.
I uninstalled any IdeaCom drivers and programs I have tried in the past few weeks to fix the issue.
(This part is very important.)
I downloaded the IdeaCom Touch Driver for the ZX4971. Select Windows 8 x64 from the Operating System drop down, and then download the driver.
I installed the driver by running the setup.exe, restarted the computer and all is back to normal.

I'm not having much luck. I'd done a lot of digging around and have even gone as far as re-installing windows to make sure none of my modifications are affecting things. With this
and the other driver mentioned earlier (The windows 7 one) installed, I get some sporadic functionality.
My model is actually modified with a different graphics card (It has a free PCI slot, by the way -- had to do some serious case-modding, though. ) It is also the ZX4951-**33e.**So, my situation might be different for those reasons.
