Windows 8 Touch Screen not working on my Gateway ZX6971

I have a Gateway ZX6971 all in one touch screen. I recently downloaded the windows 8 release preview  and i cant find anyway to get my touch screen capabilities working again. Is there a way to fix this problem? I tried reintalling the Card Reader Driver and try to open some touch programs in capability mode. Is there anything I can do to do my touch screen back? It worked fine in Windows 7. Any help or advice would be great! Thank you!

Hi ssackfield88,

This issue may be a display driver issue. I checked Gateway's website for available drivers for the ZX6971 and there are no Windows 8 drivers. Use the contact us link here to see when or if drivers will be available to support Windows 8 on your computer.

    I just did a fresh install of Windows 8 OEM 32bit on my Inspiron Duo, and now the touch screen is not working.

    any suggestions?

    Hi LarrySchaeffer,

    Do you have the same computer as ssackfiled88? If so, see my reply to him. If not, please post the make and model of your computer or visit the manufacturer's website to make sure you have the most recent drivers and the drivers support Windows 8.

    I have the same problem - the wireless network card and the touch screen and the memory card reader all will not start with Windows 8
