I have a Gateway ZX6971 all in one touch screen. I recently downloaded the windows 8 release preview and i cant find anyway to get my touch screen capabilities working again. Is there a way to fix this problem? I tried reintalling the Card Reader Driver and try to open some touch programs in capability mode. Is there anything I can do to do my touch screen back? It worked fine in Windows 7. Any help or advice would be great! Thank you!

This issue may be a display driver issue. I checked Gateway's website for available drivers for the ZX6971 and there are no Windows 8 drivers. Use the contact us link here to see when or if drivers will be available to support Windows 8 on your computer.
Well I just updated my zx6971 to Win8 pro and have now joined the no touch screen party. Yay.
I am hopeful that Gateway will provide a driver as the new OS was designed with touchscreen in mind.
So, Gateway now has Windows 8 Upgrade drivers for the Network Adapter, the Bluetooth and the NVidia VGA driver, but i have an Intel Display adapter.....i tried the 6380 driver for the Intel and still no joy.....
I suppose I can wait a few days or weeks before I revert back to the preview version.

UPDATE: The Windows 8 driver for the 6980 does NOT cause the touchscreen to work
