My Mom's Windows XP Computer is overall slow, freezing & locking up mostly all the time. I don't have the money right now to pay for Premium Support through Microsoft to get it fixed. Can anybody please help me get this issue resolved immediately! It's been like this for a while. I just want my mom's computer to run normally like any other computer would. Please! Let me know. I appreciate it. Thanks.

My Mom's computer is doing great. The only problem is, it freezes here and there. I will answer your questions in a minute. Sorry for not answering them before.

the clean up steps are not optional, they should be done on a regular basis.

disk cleanup, disk defragmenter, clean caches.

Also,  please answer the first questions I asked, current antivirus, Service pack of OS, make-model-and model number of pc.

also look in Device manager and see if any errors are there and your drivers need updating.

go to Microsoft updates and do a high priority scan and install all.

then do a custom scan and look for any rootkit updates and install them.

It seems like it is not slow, freezes or locks up anymore. It is like a normal computer like anyone else's like I told you before. I will keep you updated if it does those things. Just let me know about the twitch.tv video game streaming feed. I appreciate it. Thanks.

Let me try to go on my mom's computer, like I am on right now, for a couple of days and let you know if it is still slow, freezes & locks up. It's ok now. Nothing on the items like I just told you are doing it at the moment. I will keep you updated. Maybe it did work. With the SuperAntiSpyware. Just let me know about twitch.tv. I need that resolved too. I appreciate it. Thanks.

I did both full scans last night. Malwarebytes detected no items and the SuperAntiSpyware detected 13. I removed them and restarted the computer 20 to 30 minutes ago and it seems like it is still the same way, performance wise like before I even did these scans. Same way it seems like. What should I do next? Clean up steps like you said yesterday? Also, I forgot to tell you but when I go on like twitch.tv to watch video game streams, the video feed is slow and is not consistent. Like if I am watching a Hockey game or a Football game on there, Madden NFL 13 and NHL 13, it's not keeping up with the feed. Is there anyway you can help me with that too. I appreciate it. Let me know. Thanks.
