My Mom's Windows XP Computer is overall slow, freezing & locking up mostly all the time. I don't have the money right now to pay for Premium Support through Microsoft to get it fixed. Can anybody please help me get this issue resolved immediately! It's been like this for a while. I just want my mom's computer to run normally like any other computer would. Please! Let me know. I appreciate it. Thanks.

The reason I decided not to recommend that site was not for my benefit but for the benefit of Mark and others who would see that ad and then think that in order to run the test they would need to click on that link first!
It's just like when we suggest MBAM and the poster winds up at Major Geeks and sees what looks like to be an instruction to first "click here" to scan for errors.
I seem to recall a link you gave for something useful a few months ago and the poster wound up downloading something entirely different! You need to remember most posters here are nowhere near as knowledgeable as you! Thus they are more likely to see something and become confused and wind up doing something you didn't intend for them to do!

Why is that? Because I am using Firefox with the Adblock Plus Add-On. I don't see any pop ups ever. Think of what I am missing. I do see what you mean if I use IE or Chrome though.
Now Adblock Plus used to not work with Chrome, but now I see that it does so if you do not have it, why don't you get it?! In Chrome, you may need to visit Tools, Extensions, Adblock Plus, Options and update manually. I guess they need to work on that part... Then you will not see that message anymore or any more pop up ads (I just tried it).
To test, visit some WWW page you know has ads (like speedtest.net), disable Adblock Plus, then refresh the page... Ugh!
Dang... Now I have to come up with some enhanced instructions.
