Windows XP Computer Overall Slow, Freezing & Locking Up.

My Mom's Windows XP Computer is overall slow, freezing & locking up mostly all the time. I don't have the money right now to pay for Premium Support through Microsoft to get it fixed. Can anybody please help me get this issue resolved immediately! It's been like this for a while. I just want my mom's computer to run normally like any other computer would. Please! Let me know. I appreciate it. Thanks.

    if it is not listed in add/remove programs, then you do not have it installed.

    Not necessarily (see Nepatsfan's post, which is embedded in my post on p.3 of this thread).

    I said that in the event you did have installed, you should UNINSTALL it!!!!!!
