My Mom's Windows XP Computer is overall slow, freezing & locking up mostly all the time. I don't have the money right now to pay for Premium Support through Microsoft to get it fixed. Can anybody please help me get this issue resolved immediately! It's been like this for a while. I just want my mom's computer to run normally like any other computer would. Please! Let me know. As long as you are 100% sure it is not her on PC, yes, you do not need to worry about it.
Just click on Start | Search.
If you see "Search Companion," that is the original Windows Search. That is what you want. The window will look like this:
You can also turn off and then disable INDEXING. See:
