Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter is not working.

I have Acer V3-571 laptop.

I upgraded to windows 8 from windows 7.

Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter is showing working fine in the device manager ,but wifi is not working.

when I checked the on off soft switch in the Pc setting ,the swith found in disable position.Could anybody assist to solve it?

Well I resolved it by bypassing the wireless adapter and buying a nano external wireless usb thing, it works perfectly now. problem still not fixed however.

I found a way to fix my Network, ive manually uninstalled the Network cards Drivers and downloaded the following file "win78-10.0.0.75-whql" from

http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=81&system=6

and simply installed the driver via the Device Manager

    Ho lo stesso problema pure. Ho comprato un v5-671-6806 da negozio microsoft e abbiamo trovato il wireless funziona ad intermittenza. si connette, ma poi scende a connessione limitata dopo 30 minuti. questo è male. per favore aiutatemi

    I have an Acer TravelMate Notebook B113-E S.O. Windows 8 Home 64Bit - 8GB Ram. Mount a WiFi adapter Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 a real desperation. Replaced with a new one the same but again another despair.

    I have tried everything for a month and now I have found my own solution.

    I bought a wireless network card used Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless Network Adapter (Atheros AR5B225) installed on the notebook, I uninstalled it Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth software suite (64) Qualcomm Atheros 8.0.0.206 driver 11.31 it will update the driver from Live Updater acer 10.0.0.218 as compatible with the network card and now I can say:

    CONNECTION EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT SIGNAL PROVIDED 'SIGNAL 100%. (HAPPINESS ')

    Dearest ACER it would take quite a CALL to replace all this wireless network card is faulty. You should definitely satisfy your customers.

    For me problem solved on all the radio channels of the router.

    Ho un ACER V3 771G con una rete Wlan Qualcomm Atheros Adapter AR5BWB222 e anche il problema che la connessione si ferma ogni 3 a 10 minuti.

    La versione 10.0.0.217 Atheros non aiuta. Ho appena installato la (per me nuova) versione 10.0.0.221 Atheros dalla pagina seguente:

    1. Ho scaricato AR5BWB222 per Windows 8 a 64 bit.
    2. È possibile ottenere un set di dati con zip win8-10.0.0.221-WHQL.
    3. Decomprimere questo set di dati in una cartella
    4. Avviare il device manager
    5. Selezionare adattatore di rete
    6. Selezionare Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Adattatore di rete wireless
    7. selezionare Proprietà
    8. Selezionare Driver
    9. selezionare aggiornamento driver
    10. define "ricerca dal computer" e selezionare la cartella specificata in 3)
    11. il driver sarà updatet

    Sto lavorando ora per due ore e non hanno problemi.

    Ciao a tutti. Anche se non ho potuto risolvere l'inaffidabilità sul dispositivo con gli aggiornamenti dei driver o le impostazioni di risparmio energetico.     I too had intermittent connectivity issues on my Vizio CT14-A0 Ultrabook.  I upgraded my Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 driver from version 10.0.0.220 (one on Vizio support site) to version 10.0.0.221 (from www.atheros.cz), both for Windows 8.  Problem no longer exists with this new version for Windows 8 - no more dropped wireless connections.  Thanks to all!
