Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter is not working.

I have Acer V3-571 laptop.

I upgraded to windows 8 from windows 7.

Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter is showing working fine in the device manager ,but wifi is not working.

when I checked the on off soft switch in the Pc setting ,the swith found in disable position.Could anybody assist to solve it?

Well I resolved it by bypassing the wireless adapter and buying a nano external wireless usb thing, it works perfectly now. problem still not fixed however.

I found a way to fix my Network, ive manually uninstalled the Network cards Drivers and downloaded the following file "win78-10.0.0.75-whql" from

http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=81&system=6

and simply installed the driver via the Device Manager

    I have an ACER V3 771G with a Wlan Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Network Adapter and also the Problem that the connection stops every 3 to 10 minutes.

    The version Atheros 10.0.0.217 does not help. I just installed the (for me brand new) version Atheros 10.0.0.221 from the following page:

    1. I downloaded AR5BWB222 for Windows 8 64 bit.
    2. You get a zip dataset win8-10.0.0.221-whql.
    3. Unzip this dataset to a folder
    4. Start the device manager
    5. Select network adapter
    6. Select Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter
    7. select properties
    8. select driver
    9. select driver update
    10. define "search from your computer" and select the folder you specified in 3)
    11. the driver will be updatet

    I'm working now for two hours and have no problems.

    My wireless was not working to start with. 

    After browsing several threads I followed one and changed it slightly to get mine to work on my Laptop (Acer Aspire V3-571).

    So try this:

    Go to the Device Manager:

    1.  Double-Click :   Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adaptor

    2.  Right Click:        Update Driver Software

    3.  Select:               Browse My Computer ........ 

    4.  Select:               Let me pick

    5.  Select:              Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adaptor

    (the one without the word: Qualcomm)

    6.  Select               Next

    7.  Restart Laptop.

    8.  An orange wireless light should come on and wireless should be working.

    Hi everyone.

    While I could not solve the unreliability on my device with the driver updates or the power saving settings.

    However, when I changed my wifi access point's channel from "auto" to "11" then all of the sudden my laptop wifi connection started working like a charm.

    Figured it may help while the big boys solve the driver issue...
