Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter is not working.

I have Acer V3-571 laptop.

I upgraded to windows 8 from windows 7.

Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter is showing working fine in the device manager ,but wifi is not working.

when I checked the on off soft switch in the Pc setting ,the swith found in disable position.Could anybody assist to solve it?

Well I resolved it by bypassing the wireless adapter and buying a nano external wireless usb thing, it works perfectly now. problem still not fixed however.

I found a way to fix my Network, ive manually uninstalled the Network cards Drivers and downloaded the following file "win78-10.0.0.75-whql" from

http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=81&system=6

and simply installed the driver via the Device Manager

    Once you downloaded the file needed, Unzip file. 

    Right click Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Select your Card > Right click > Update Drivers 

    Browse my computer for Files > and there you go..... that should solve it. At-less it did for me.
