Hi

The Address Book in Windows XP was called user name.wab. This was used in the default Outlook Express email program. You can copy/move that .wab file to the Windows 7 system.

In Windows 7, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the  C:\Users\your name\Contacts folder.

On the Toolbar, click the Import button.

In the Import dialog, select the Windows Address Book (Outlook Express contacts)  option.

Click the Import button and navigate to where you saved the .WAB file.

Select that file and click Open.

This will place all of the email addresses into the Contacts folder. This folder will be used for any email programs that you install.

Where is my address book and contact list

That depends entirely on what application you are using for email and what version of Windows you are running

how do I import from my other computer??other computer is  Mac.

    That also depends.

If you are using an email account that offers EAS (Exchange Active Sync) such as Outlook.com, then your contacts will automatically sync when you set up your mail account on your Windows machine.

If you are not using an EAS mail provider then there are two ways.

    1. If you want both to be in sync you can use something like Memotoo
    2. Otherwise, you will need to open up the contacts on your Mac and see what format you can export them to.

I'm afraid a Word document does NOT suddenly change to a Windows Address Book. I suspect that you still HAVE the Word document on your computer.

However - a WAB or Windows Contacts have FAR better functions for an addressbook than a Word document - I cannot see why on earth you would use a Word document in the first place when Windows gives you far better tools...
