Hi

The Address Book in Windows XP was called user name.wab. This was used in the default Outlook Express email program. You can copy/move that .wab file to the Windows 7 system.

In Windows 7, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the  C:\Users\your name\Contacts folder.

On the Toolbar, click the Import button.

In the Import dialog, select the Windows Address Book (Outlook Express contacts)  option.

Click the Import button and navigate to where you saved the .WAB file.

Select that file and click Open.

This will place all of the email addresses into the Contacts folder. This folder will be used for any email programs that you install.

Try going up to Ronnie Vernon's in May 2011.  Sounds like that could help.  I have 2 phone numbers for Microsoft:

      855-387-5382    and  800-642-7676

You sound like such a sweetie.  I hope you get some help.  I have no idea how to do that and I find answers just by hunting and trying different stuff.

People care..just go back and re read some "stuff."  So much of the replies are not in layman's terms.  Those people are too intelligent  for me.  I need word for word for word to understand this.

    GOOD LUCK!!

I think possibly it is the easiest way if one is not too proficient with a computer. Reading some of these answers..they are way over my head.  I have lots of things stored in my documents because I don't know where else to put'em . (I miss XP!!)  I'm on Windows 7 now, new computer. I have lots of things stored in FAVORITES too.  Woe is me.  I have 2 phone numbers for Microsoft.  If they read all the other answers, maybe they'll see this:

TECH SUPPORT:  855-387-5382      I HAVE IN MY NOTES: 800-642-7676
