Windows Phone 7. Error codes: 80072EFD and 83CF0108

I have Windows Phone 7 (HTC HD), recently I experience problems with syncing my gmail and hotmail accounts (recieving error code: 80072EFD) and Facebook (recieving error code: 83CF0108) when using mobile internet. More over I can't open gmail.com in a browser as well. When I use Wi-Fi everything is ok. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi gedzius,

When you are using wifi everything is fine, right?

Please verify that on your Windows Phone, all configuration is okay:

  • Settings -> Mobile Network -> Data Connection is on "On"
  • Settings -> Mobile Network -> 3G connection is on "On"

    Hi all,

    got same problems, all email accounts and facebook access blocked, and nothing worked, no internet access, i checked all the settings... because it is windows phone (Luma 800) and you need a windows live ID (mine was hacked) therefore blocked, I created a new one, it sync successfully, and all the other internet related services started to automatically update. so my advice, check your windows live account and if not working create a new one! Problem solved!

    i cant sync with Live ID,  Twitter and  Gmail when im using 3G. its shows this error code 80072EFD.  Also i cant download any application from the Marketplace.

    When sync with FB shows Error Code - 83cf3105

    im facing in this issue now more than a month. i search on the web and forums wasting my time during this month. still not found any solution to it. there are many users experience with this issue. if you search Nokia and Windows Phone forum s can see it your self. there are no any correct and actionable solution to this error. this error was arise suddenly.  

    i did everything available in forums. but no solution found yet.   

    because of this issue. my phone is now looks like Nokia 1100. this not a smart phone now.

    near future i will throw this lumia 800 to garbage because of this error. im fed up with this error now. i destroyed my time because of this error. NOKIA or Microsoft should give solution for  this. but still they didn't shows up with good solution for this. 

    i did all things explain in this thread. i reset the phone 5 times. i tried to revert the OS update but couldn't done because i update the firmware to xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.12220. but still no solution.

    CORRECTION - I just found something that worked for me:

    setting >> cellular >> edit apn >>

    APN: yesinternet

    everything else blank

    although i think for this to work you have to enter the APN for your specific carrier, this is for optus in australia. http://ausdroid.net/apns/#optus has nearly all for all the possible carriers in australia.

    hope this works for others as well!
