How do I transfer, or copy, contacts from the phone to the SIM card?

In Windows Phone7 There is no option for transfer contacts to SIM Card.

Its only possible in privious version of windows phone like 6.5 & lower version.

Hi,

After signing in on the phone, you will be able to sync contacts to and from Windows Live. Any time you add a contact to your phone, you can store it on Windows Live. Plus, any contacts imported from a SIM card are backed up too. You can manage contacts on Windows Live contacts from their PC at contacts.live.com.

Are your contacts not at contacts.live.com where you can sync them with any 'phone that lets you set up a Hotmail account? (Certainly any Android 'phone or iPhone - or, worst case, any 'phone with a browser should let you view them.)

    OK you caught me exaggerating for dramatic effect! I probably had a couple of hundred on the SIM and I lost another couple of hundred when my last phone died, and I've probably added more than I lost since then as I got most of the lost ones back and added some more. Let's say I have around 500 contacts, possibly more, but I'm not going to count them. I was under the impression SIM cards could hold more these days, I vaguely remember at some point having the SIM replaced because a guy in the Vodafone shop told me the new one would be able to hold all my contacts, but I'll take your word from it.

    I did the initial set-up myself but I confess I had no idea what it was asking me to do I just dutifully followed instructions to get the thing working and I probably agreed at some point to have the contacts deleted from my SIM card, though I don't remember it.

    I'm a bit confused about these Windows Live accounts. The two I have on my phone are called "Hotmail" and "Hotmail 2" and I can't figure out how to delete the second one. I don't know which one I'm signing into as I used the same gmail and password for both and the version on my laptop doesn't give me an option of one or the other. Why is it called Outlook and not either Windows Live or Hotmail?
