How do I transfer, or copy, contacts from the phone to the SIM card?

In Windows Phone7 There is no option for transfer contacts to SIM Card.

Its only possible in privious version of windows phone like 6.5 & lower version.

Hi,

After signing in on the phone, you will be able to sync contacts to and from Windows Live. Any time you add a contact to your phone, you can store it on Windows Live. Plus, any contacts imported from a SIM card are backed up too. You can manage contacts on Windows Live contacts from their PC at contacts.live.com.

Are your contacts not at contacts.live.com where you can sync them with any 'phone that lets you set up a Hotmail account? (Certainly any Android 'phone or iPhone - or, worst case, any 'phone with a browser should let you view them.)

    What if i don't want to be tied down to windows anymore. Having battled with my wp for a while, i can safely say i won't be buying their products again so have upgraded to an Apple iPhone. How am i meant to transfer contacts other than typing them in one by one. Windows have really shot themselves in the foot here by not allowing contacts to be saved to sim. Android do it, Apple do it, why Windows feel they need to be elitist is beyond me. I guess its just their whole microsoft orientated ethos. You have to have a hotmail account to use their app store, you can only use Bing as a defaults browser. Its just so narrow minded!

    using your Microsoft contacts on another phone is very simple, you just install the outlook app and it'll copy the contacts to your new device. There is nothing difficult about it. The only difficulties are made up in your head. You DON'T have to have a hotmail account to use the store. I'm not even going to waste more time correcting your unfounded complaints, you just like to complain without knowing what you are talking about.

    Hi there,

    I have a slightly different issue I don't know if someone can help.

    I have a Nokia Lumia 735 which was provided by my previous company.  I've retained the  handset after leaving them in May but it still has their old Enterprise build on it so I need to wipe that and rebuild it.

    I have 1000's of business contacts most of which I no longer need but there are a lot - my guess is 100+ - which I need to retain.  

    • It doesn't seem like I can export them to my SIM card unless I've read previous messages on this forum very wrongly
    • I can't back them up online because, having an Enterprise build, the phone isn't linked to my Microsoft account (it will be of course when I rebuild it!!)

    Would I be able to purchase a micro-SD, export them to that and re-import them.  Any views on this, or other suggestions, would be most welcome.
