Zune Wireless Sync Error C00D07C9

Hi,

Even though my phone is configures and connects to my router for internet connection - I cannot configure wireless sync as I get the following error "C00D07C9"?

I have tried the FAQ but still nothing.

Please help.

Good call with this article!  I too had the same error with my Samsung Focus but I figured out that for some reason my route was not able to identify a device name, only the MAC address.  (possibly a bug in WP7)  Apparently Zune does not like this because as soon as I used a static IP address for my phone's MAC address and gave it the name of my phone as recognized by Zune, it worked!

Are you still receiving the same error message?

Have you tried to configure the device manually?

There’re some important recommendations that you must be aware:

Make sure that the access point or the router to which you connect is a DHCP server (make sure that DHCP is turned on).

Try to reserve an IP address for the Zune device on the router.

If you are using two routers, make sure that the router to which you try to connect is the DHCP server.

    <sigh>Thanks for confirming my worst fear! Mine did stop working about the time of Tango. Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and reset it, but it's almost as painful as reinstalling Windows.

    Then again, rumors are that the AT&T exclusive on the Lumia 920 will end in early 2013, which is also when my contract expires. If I can hang on a few more months, and Verizon picks up the L920, I'll be in good shape.

    In my case, wireless sync has always been flaky. I bought the phone with NoDo installed, and wireless sync would periodically stop working. I'd disable wireless sync in Zune and re-enable it, and it would work for another few weeks. Occasionally I'd get an error code when I'd re-enable it. Generally, this same generic, seemingly all-purpose failure code; at least I don't recall there were any others. But a computer restart would fix it. Since restarting the PC has cured it in the past, I've been focusing on the computer as the likely cause. But unless it's hardware (and what hardware would it be...WiFi?) it's now been exonerated by a fresh Win 8 install and I need to focus on the phone.

    I might find the article helpful, but it's no longer available.

    The service at the moment seems quite crapy to be frank.

    Why couldn't zune be easy to use.

    I'm getting Zune Error code C00D07C9, can't detect your phone.

    But no useful help to solve this.

    Also when I go to marketplace, there's another error c101a006.

    And again no useful help anywhere.

    very disapointing!
