Zune Wireless Sync Error C00D07C9

Hi,

Even though my phone is configures and connects to my router for internet connection - I cannot configure wireless sync as I get the following error "C00D07C9"?

I have tried the FAQ but still nothing.

Please help.

Good call with this article!  I too had the same error with my Samsung Focus but I figured out that for some reason my route was not able to identify a device name, only the MAC address.  (possibly a bug in WP7)  Apparently Zune does not like this because as soon as I used a static IP address for my phone's MAC address and gave it the name of my phone as recognized by Zune, it worked!

Are you still receiving the same error message?

Have you tried to configure the device manually?

There’re some important recommendations that you must be aware:

Make sure that the access point or the router to which you connect is a DHCP server (make sure that DHCP is turned on).

Try to reserve an IP address for the Zune device on the router.

If you are using two routers, make sure that the router to which you try to connect is the DHCP server.

    I have changed te name of my Lumia to a name without whitespaces and it worked!

    Best tip so far, thanks athix.

    I did not set any static ip address, but i had a closer look at my phone name.

    It was "mozart phone". >> Behold the whitespace...

    After changing the name to "wp7", the wireless sync works...

    Does Microsoft test there software? And why the hack is syncing limited to one wireless network? I like to sync my phone at home and at the office...

    But i still hope harder that the software gets better....

    After 1 hour, the above was what worked for me. 

    As soon as i disconnected the wired Ethernet to my laptop, it worked.

    Of course I had to turn off Itunes first just to see my phone.

    AND I never did get to a screen that had the Advanced options.

    I would like to point out that 1 youtube video would answer most people's questions.
