SUCCESS IN REMOVING KNCTR. YES!! Down on the right corner of your desktop near the digital clock should be a drop-down arrow. Click it and you'll see the 'knctr icon'. Click the icon and then click 'Shutdown'. Then go to your control panel and 'Uninstall' that program. I've already rebooted my system and it is gone. Good Luck!!
Trying to uninstall a program, but the computer says it's still running, and I can't find it to shut it down so I can get rid of it. What do I do?
I was trying to uninstall a program that snuck in while I was tryinh to activate my Nook. It's called knctr by itibiti. When I try to remove it a message pops up that it is still running and I should shut it down. I can't find it anywhere to shut it down. How do I get rid of it?

2016-04-04T05:01:04+00:00 YEAHHHHH! That totally worked to go to the task manager! I had shut it down from the bottom right icon, and still it wouldn't work. Even opening the task manger it wouldn't show me all the background programs. Then I went to "more details" and it showed the programs running in the background. I had to end task to three different icons for knctr and then I could uninstall it from the control panel!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
