how do I open the DVD/CD driver to insert a disk?

When I found how to do it in a help section, it just says to open the driver. Well that's my question "How to open the driver to insert a disk?

A "driver" is software, you can't insert a disk into it.

Do you mean the CD/DVD disk drive?

There should be a button on the front of the computer next to the DVD drive, it's usually on the right side. Some cases hide it, but there should be an area to push. After you push the button the DVD drive should open.

    I have a new ASUS and it's very hit or miss whether pushing the bottom right hand corner will open it.  A software trick may work:

    Open File Manager in Windows, and in the address bar type E:

    This works for me if there's no disk in the drive: it opens the drawer.  If there's a disk in it, some software programs, such as Windows Media Player, have an "Eject" option on the menu bar (or on my previous machine, the software, which I think was realPlayer, had it under the display).

    Oddly, I find closing it harder and have to gently push it in.

    I  recently upgraded to windows 10 on my HP laptop. I don't have a media player installed yet. I dont know if it comes with the cd drive already in it. if so I cant find a way to eject it. I cannot figure out how to open it, Is it a cd drive sold separately that I have to have installed???????????????????????????????????????PLEASE HELP ME AND MY HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
