I've tried to run Windows Backup and it does not seem to "remember" any past backups done. (I must not have done a REAL good backup since about 1-26-2015).
I've run this MANY times in the past and save things to my external drive of 1TB. If there is not enough space it asks me to delete some files which I do. I recently just ran this andit asks me to "Re-set up" the files I wish to back up. After I do this I get the ERROR 0x80041321. I have a WIN7 OS x64-bit with an internal 1 TB drive (plenty of room here)
I have tried going into the TaskScheduler to find out problems and I get error messages that the following tasks were "corrupted or tampered with".
AD RMS Rights Management
Verified Publisher CertStoreCheck
Periodic Scan Retry
Dispatch Recovery Tasks
Background Coding Surveyor
AutoWake
Service Restart Task
Windows Backup Monitor
Automatic Backup

I have checked out related posts at these links to try to troubleshoot: (my problem seems similar but modifications to posts are needed)

- I have tried a system restore to a month ago but this did not work. [I may have System Restore issues too on some occasions]
- I have Tweaking.com Backup Registry for early September and a more recent one from late February. Restoration of either did not correct the problem.
- One of the post at the last link above states:
"According to your description, this would be caused by some corrupted files; I suggest you try the following steps to check how it works:
Commonly Task Scheduler task image is located in:
C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsBackup, please take a backup of WindowsBackup file and then delete it, then see if the issue occurs."
I tried to look at this
Tasks file location for WindowsBackup but I could not find it. Where should it be? [I realize that most of this post is for someone else and I need different instructions]
I am hesitant to just delete any file/key. I need to know what the CLSID etc. actually are before doing anything of this nature etc.
I would appreciate any assistance to this issue. Thank you.
