I apologize for getting off topic. My control panel doesn't list SlimCleaner Plus and I don't recall ever installing it. I will run a MEMTEST to check my RAM. Hopefully it will give me some insight as to what is wrong. As far as downloading the latest nVidea driver, nVidea told me not to because they think that is causing the problem. After the last driver update is when the problem started and I uninstalled it. That seemed to fix the problem temporarily. Thanks again!
OK, since we are here in this thread, I'll add this for you. Go to nVidia Driver Downloads - Advanced Search, enter:
Product Type: "GeForce"; Operating System: Windows 7-64 bit
Product Series: "GeForce 500 Series"; Language: English (US)
Product: "GeForce GTX 570"; Recommended/Beta: "Recommended/Certified"
The output list will be all WHQL. You cannot get this complete WHQL list any other way except for the above method. I am currently using v314.22:
314.22-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe
If you still have problems, use v296.10:
296.10-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe
It is important you follow the instructions at the "Ultimate Nvidia Driver Guide for Uninstalling and Installing driversets." Follow their instructions for uninstalling. Follow their instructions for custom install. Do NOT use nVidia's Express (Recommended) install. Do NOT install nVidia's:
3D Vision Controller Driver - Unless you own a pair of nVidia 3D glasses
3D Vision Driver - Unless you own a pair of nVidia 3D glasses
HD Audio Driver - Unless you own a HDMI 1.4 audio receiver. Can cause serious system problems.
nVidia Update - This is not required, installs a process and is bloatware. You don't want to update anyway.
The only drivers you should install are the grayed out default Graphics Driver and the PhysX System Software driver. Be sure to check "Perform a Clean Installation."
Good Luck.
